Information You Provide to Us

We collect and process the information you give us directly. That is what you submit through the contact form on this Website, and what you tell us if you reply to a text message from us. The types of information we may collect include your name, email address, mobile phone number, the general location of the job, whatever you choose to write in the message, and whether you checked the text messaging consent box.

Please do not send us information you do not want passed on. Everything you put in the form can be forwarded to an electrician, so keep it to what the electrician needs in order to understand and quote the job. Do not send account numbers, identification numbers, health information or anything else sensitive.

We do not take payment through this Website. There is no online checkout, we charge you nothing, and we do not collect or store card or bank details anywhere.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you visit this Website, limited information about your visit is recorded automatically as part of delivering the pages to you.

Hosting Logs

This Website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare records standard server request logs, including IP address, browser type, access times, and the page you came from, as part of delivering and securing the Website.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages people read. It is privacy-first analytics: it does not use cookies, it does not fingerprint your device, and it does not track you across other websites. We use it to decide what to write about next, and it is the only analytics tool on this Website.

Advertising and Social Tracking

This Website loads no advertising or social media tracking scripts, sets no advertising cookies, and runs no remarketing, no ad pixels and no cross-site profiling. It embeds no third-party maps or widgets that would report your visit back to their provider.

How We Store Your Information

Our setup is deliberately small. Form submissions from this Website are delivered to us by email through Resend, our transactional email provider, and are then held in our business email account. The Website itself is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare Pages, and page view counts come from Cloudflare Web Analytics. Those providers handle information on our behalf, under their own privacy and security practices, and only to the extent needed to run the Website and respond to you.

We do not run a customer relationship management system, a marketing automation platform or a mailing list, and we do not load your details into one.

We keep your information for as long as it is needed for the purpose you gave it to us, and for as long as we are required to keep it to meet our legal, tax and record keeping obligations. Passing a request on to an electrician does not pull it back: once they hold a copy, deleting our copy has no effect on theirs.

Use of Information

We may use information about you to:

• Pass your request on to one or more independent licensed electricians who work in the area, so that they can contact you about the job;
• Reply to your request and confirm that we have passed it on, by email or, if you consented, by text message;
• Answer a question you asked us about the Website or about this policy;
• Operate, maintain, secure and improve the Website;
• Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, misuse and other unlawful activity, and protect the rights, property and safety of Eagle Pass Electrician Guide, the people who use it and others;
• Notify you about material changes to this Privacy Policy; and
• Meet our legal, tax and record keeping obligations.

We do not run a promotional email or marketing text programme, and we do not add you to a mailing list. The messages we send are about the request you submitted.

We do not perform, schedule, price or supervise any electrical work, so we never use your information for those purposes. There are no invoices, receipts or job records here, because we do not do the work.

Sharing of Information

We never put your information on a marketing list, and we never hand it to anyone for their own advertising. What we do disclose is set out below, and the first item is the one that matters.

This is the disclosure that matters most, so it gets its own heading. When you submit the contact form, we forward the contents of that submission, which is your name, your email address, your phone number, the location you gave and the message you wrote, to one or more independent licensed electricians working in the area, so that they can contact you about the job. We may forward it to more than one electrician if the first does not take it up.

Those electricians are independent third parties, not our employees, agents or subcontractors, and they receive your details as a separate business rather than as a provider processing information on our behalf. Once your details reach them, their own privacy practices apply, not ours. We do not control what they do with your details, how long they keep them, or whether they contact you again later. If you want to know their practices, or want them to delete what they hold, ask them directly.

We may be paid by an electrician for the requests we pass on to them. We are telling you that plainly because some privacy laws treat a paid referral as a sale of personal information. Being paid does not change what we send or who we send it to, and we do not sell, rent or trade your details to anyone else, to any mailing list, or to any lead broker or aggregator.

Everyone else

Beyond that, we disclose information:

• To the service providers that run the few tools this Website depends on: Resend for delivery of form submissions, and Cloudflare for hosting, delivery, security and page view counts, each only to the extent it needs the information to provide that service to us;
• In response to a request for information where we believe disclosure is permitted by, in accordance with, or required by any applicable law, regulation or legal process, such as a subpoena or a court order;
• Where necessary to enforce our rights under this Privacy Policy or under any agreement we enter into with you, or to protect the rights, property and safety of Eagle Pass Electrician Guide, the people who use it or others;
• In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company; and

SMS / Text Messaging

If you provide your number and check the text messaging consent box on that form, you agree that we may text you about your request, and that we may pass your name, phone number and message to a licensed local electrician who may then contact you by text or phone. Eagle Pass Electrician Guide does not schedule work, book appointments or give quotes, so we send no appointment confirmations or reminders, no dispatch updates and no quotes.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages. Reply HELP for help, or use the contact form. We do not publish a phone number or an email address, so the form is the way to reach us.

Text messages you receive from an electrician after we pass your request on are that electrician's messages, sent under their own consent practices and their own privacy policy. They are not part of our messaging, and replying STOP to us does not stop them. To stop those, tell that electrician directly.

Consent to receive text messages is not required to submit the form or to use this Website, and it is not a condition of purchase of any goods or services.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

To be plain about how that fits together: your phone number is passed to the electrician who may do the work, because that is what you asked us to arrange and what the consent box on the form says. It is never passed to anyone for marketing, never sold, and never shared with any list, broker or aggregator. Your opt-in to our own text messages is ours alone and is not transferred to anyone.

Security

We take reasonable steps, including physical, technical and organizational measures, to protect your personal information from unauthorized access and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. Unfortunately, transmission of information over the internet is never completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of information you send to us.

We may keep a record of any objection you tell us about, including a request that we stop contacting you, for the sole purpose of making sure we can continue to respect your wishes.

Your Contact Information

You may access, update or correct the personal information you have given us, or ask us to delete it, through the contact form. Say in the message that it is a privacy request. We may need to keep certain information to comply with our legal obligations or for legitimate business purposes, such as resolving a dispute or showing that consent was given.

We can only act on the copy we hold. If your request has already been passed to an electrician, they hold their own copy and you will need to ask them to delete theirs.

Text Messages

You can stop our text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. We will send one confirmation message and you will receive no further messages. If you would prefer we did not contact you at all, tell us and we will record that.

Cookies

Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies. Note that removing or rejecting cookies could affect the availability and functionality of parts of the Website.

Children's Privacy

Our Website and our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please tell us through the contact form and we will delete it.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy and any dispute arising out of it are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without reference to its choice of law principles.
